Clinton Ladies Claim the Title

Congratulations to our Clinton Ladies team who were crowned Frenchville 6-A-Side Champions after an impressive carnival campaign.

Finishing on top of their pool, the girls defeated Mackay Lions 1–0 in Sunday’s Semi Final to progress to the decider against Bluebirds - a matchup that always delivers.

After a scoreless period in normal time, extra time tested both sides’ weary legs. Clinton pushed through, with Alana Sailor scoring the winning goal late in extra time before the girls held firm to secure the title.

The team’s defensive effort was outstanding across the entire carnival, with goalkeeper Cherie Abbott and the backline not conceding a single goal. A special congratulations also goes to Skye Noonan, who finished as joint Highest Goal Scorer for the carnival.
